  • Share your expertise by submitting a session proposal: establish yourself and your school as a thought leader in the field of international career and college counseling.
  • Use the online schedule to tell your supervisor which educational offerings you plan to attend, and how these sessions will help advance your departmental and school goals. Besides the conference, you can also attend workshops by College Board and other leaders in education as part of the pre- and post-conference event programming.
  • Use the list of participating institutions to provide a list of current and potential partners you plan to meet with during the conference. Emphasize the cost-effectiveness of being able to meet with so many domestic and international colleagues in one place.

Explain the Cost/Benefit
  • The cost to attend the 2018 Annual IC3 Conference for high school delegates is only $65 USD, which includes meals during the conference at a five-star hotel. This will reduce the amount of expenses your school may have otherwise reimbursed.
  • If cost is a concern, include information on money-saving measures you plan to take. A limited number of special homestay accommodations are also available for counselors.
  • Point out the value in meeting so many colleagues and partners in the same place and how it will save you time and expand your resources.
  • Highlight how many sessions on different topics you will be able to attend and how much professional development you will gain in just two days.
  • Consider applying for a scholarship/attendance grant through IC3.
