Annual IC3 Awards
The IC3 Awards are aimed at felicitating schools, counselors and universities that stand out for their contributions to the field of career and college counseling. The awardees will be selected by a jury consisting of IC3 Committee members, and announced at the 2018 Annual IC3 Conference.
Last date to submit nominations: 16 July 2018
- Full-time school-based career and college counselors
- Full-time admissions professionals at universities
- High schools with an active career and college counseling office
An individual can submit multiple nominations for each award, as long as the individuals being nominated are unique.
Award Category A: Career and College Counselors
Molly Abraham Lifetime Achievement Award
The Molly Abraham Lifetime Achievement Award honors Molly Abraham, a teacher and counselor who impacted thousands of students through her guidance. Molly’s inspiring legacy of counseling demonstrates how one teacher, educator, or advisor can change young lives, and open doors for young people that they don’t even know exist. Follow IC3 Conference Chair Ganesh Kohli’s journey to reunite with Molly, his childhood math teacher from class 7 and 8, after 26+ years here.
Emerging Counselor Award
A counselor who has a proven track record in the counseling space for 3 years or less
Counselor of the Year Award
Someone who has been excellent in terms of counseling, allows for exploration, willing to learn and demonstrated high level of interest
Award Category B: Admissions Professionals at Universities
Counseling-Based Approach to Student Recruitment/Admissions
University admissions officer who has supported a counseling-based approach
Award Category C: Schools
Best School for Career and College Counseling
High schools that have an active career and college counseling office
